Leona was awarded a scholarship for The Scottish Ballet and it was there her determination for the performing arts began. When beginning her applications for acting college she was asked by the panel to sing and on hearing her voice she was advised to enrol and was accepted on the spot in the Musical Theatre course. Later she went on to be described as a “triple Threat” in the stage newspaper 2010.

Her theatre roles include lead mezzo soprano in The Broadway Divas, lead singer in Boogie Nights and Dirty Dancing Irish tour , Jean in Twist and shout, Anna from The King and I and Carrie from Carousel in Rodgers and Hammerstein Song Book UK Tour. Her biggest Musical achievement was ensemble in the award winning Rent at Greenwich Theatre London, The Circus of Horrors , Sandy in Grease Magic), Lead Soprano in Barockestra Edinburgh, and her favourite show The Wonderful West End playing Fantine( Les Miserables)Mary Poppins and Glinda ( Wicked) Maria ( Sound of Music), Roxie( Chicago).

Other Theatre Roles include singer /dancer in U.K. tours ‘Route 66’, Hold back its 60’s Night, Hold tight it’s 70’s Night, Holland. Abba Mania Playing Freida at the Strand theatre , westend, Platinum Abba, Abba Gold and even Bjorn again playing Agnetha. She also managed Generation Abba band and was Artistic Director for the American and French tours.

Cruise ships include Princess 5 star ship( crystal Cruises) and singer/dancer in P&O with Jack Appelbaum and manager/performer with 2 bands on board The Viking line. She recently took her own abba band act guest act on P&0 Britannia.

Highlights of Leona’s pop career include 3 Top 40 Hits with girl band Lemonescent, playing Wembley Arena. As a pop artist she has supported acts such as Blue, Atomic Kitten, Justin Currie, Peter Andre and backing singing for Dr and The Medics.

Television credits include Top of The Pops Saturday, The Box, she also got to the semi finals of Britain’s Got Talent 2013, Nickelodeon, C Beebies, Trisha,The Still Game. Leona’s career has taken her all over the world from Japan to Canada and Russia. Leona was quoted as Opera Singer to the Stars ‘in OK Magazine 2010 after singing at Emmerdale actress Denna Paynes wedding. In early 2016 she appeared in an episode of ‘Come Dine with Me ‘ where she entertained her guests with some Opera and was widely known for her hilarious laugh.

Leona’s choreography credits include a range of high end corporate entertainment in London and France as well as shows with her own production company, Leona Marie Entertainment ltd. She recently worked alongside Paul Roberts Productions choreographing girl band Fancy 3, Grease, Pop Mania and has just staged the U.K. tour Queen of the night.
