Danyl Johnson shot to fame via The X Factor in 2009 where he came 4th making it to the live finals. He amazed the audience, and judges alike, with his version of Joe Cocker’s “With a Little Help from My Friends” which has since become a YouTube sensation with over 37 million views.

His first audition went on to be used to promote The X Factor USA and was played on many primetime US TV shows, including NBC’s Today, The Jay Leno Show and Piers Morgan Tonight. Since The X Factor, Danyl has been touring the UK and Ireland extensively. He was part of the 2010 sold-out X Factor Arena Tour and played the SoundLand Festival in Nashville, USA in 2011, performing live on Fox 17’s Tennessee Mornings TV show in the run-up.

Danyl has worked with some very impressive songwriters and producers, including Lucie Silvas, Tom Baxter, Marc Broussard, Marshall Altman, Rob Bolin, Budd, Jamie Kenney, Jimmy Wallace, Claire Rodrigues, Danny Kirsch and Joe Killington, both at home in the UK and in the USA. He is proud to support a number of worthwhile charities, including Support U, Red Balloon Learner Centres, the People’s Postcode Trust and the Ellen MacArthur Cancer Trust.
