He has been singing professionally for over 18 years. His professional singing career began after appearing on the national television show, “Stars In Their Eyes” in 1993. He originally went on the show as “Johnny Mathis” but it was while singing “Three Times A Lady” during a sound check that producer Jane MacNaught (producer – Coronation Street) convinced him to go on as Lionel Richie.
Since then he has continued to pay tribute to Lionel Richie by singing his music all around the world. He has performed as Lionel Richie in countries such as Dubai, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Muscat, Spain and also had his own residency in a top Las Vegas Casino.
He was also one of the lead singers in the hit group “Tops N’ Temps” which toured theatres around the UK.
He is without doubt one of the best Lionel Richie sound-a-likes in the world.
