Wilsons Kitchen – a meaty delight!
A retro, modern but vintage, dreamy new establishment.
Set upstairs and next door to the well-known “mamma Mia,” Wilsons kitchen is definitely the new “in” place to be. They are ahead of most on the social media front too, they are getting it right. It’s about time someone stepped it up on this front in Southport.
Ok so there is no lift to carry the pram and baby upstairs on arrival, but who cares, it’s well worth the pre-dinner exercise!
With its rustic, quirky but modern, retro appeal (yes all of those things) and super friendly staff, Wilsons kitchen has all the ingredients to be the “on trend” place to eat in Southport.
Vintage water glasses and lighting keep the theme retro and well thought out designs around the room give you plenty to look at and read.
The little pre starter veggie crisps and vintage water carafes provided while you wait were the perfect little touches to keep us impressed. Staff made an effort with us and our baby boy to make sure we had a lovely experience.
There were all demographics of people dining, from older families with grandkids having a Sunday roast, to varying ages of couples, a group of younger (eighteens) and a table of ladies, everyone seemed to be enjoying the cool vibe there.
Whether you want “the best burger in town,” or a prawn, scallop, monkfish kebab with Asian salad and sides of your choice, or perhaps a meaty, juicy steak with all the trimmings, Wilsons kitchen has something for all food lovers.
Perhaps you want some light snacks and cocktails, they have those too!!
I loved it, it was a breath of fresh air. Keep going Wilsons kitchen, your bringing a great experience and delicious food to Southport.
