A Look at the Barbacoa in Crosby!
This is a mega establishment sporting high quality live entertainment and a new trend – The Black Rock!
The Barbacoa has been around for years, it’s a “heard of” venue, everyone knows the Barbacoa for good reasons. What I love about this place is that it re-establishes itself at the right time to keep on trend with what people want from a night out. They get it right!
Someone told me once that La Barbacoa “was just a restaurant,” I was quick to shut them down on the spot defending true greatness of this venue! Its not just a restaurant, it’s a rare place where you can go and spend an entire evening enjoying excellent food, drinks, cocktails and out of this world live entertainment every week. It’s a place where you can dress up to the hilt and dine in the well-dressed restaurant, or be smart casual and eat in the bar area. The point is that there is no pressure, it’s a friendly and bright atmosphere from the moment you walk in. Ok its not fine dining food, but when I describe what you can get here, you won’t want fine dining, you will want what everyone else is having here, I loved it!
In some places I have dined at, they have over-cooked, under-cooked and haven’t cooked my steak properly, and believe me I certainly have my favourite places to eat the best steaks – however here, there is no blaming, you just do it yourself! Its great fun, the sizzling sound of the steak as it comes out, the smell and the quality of it surprised me too. It’s a cheerful favourite for me, a great talking point, quick and easy food that goes down well all round.
For people who are not steak lovers, there is old fashioned scrumptious fish and chips (which is a huge portion I might add), salmon and prawns, chicken and pancetta and cheesecake for desert. Top marks here, it’s not over-priced, it’s perfect really for what you get. Service friendly, smart, attentive, one minor note that springs to mind… for people wanting to eat in the restaurant, there isn’t really “an area” as such to stand before your greeted, or a welcome desk/podium as such, but as long as there is a member of staff ready to greet, which usually there is, you are ushered straight in to your table.
There’s more…. For people who want to see live entertainment, this venue is well equipped in every way for it. Downstairs a live on trend vocalist performs in the bar area, sound levels kept exactly right, using their in-house speakers located around the room. This is great especially if you do want to have a chat.
Upstairs is an altogether different affair. It’s an audiences and a performers dream. They have the stage, impressive lighting systems to create that “wow” effect, a laser light display (even from the moment the Laser light display starts you know you’re in for something special. The laser lights are that good, it gets a round of applause!) They have a large bar and the live entertainment here is varied from Michael Jackson to 80s nights, Boy Band tributes to Rock Tributes. I can’t fault it!
This live entertainment venue has been around for years and I can see exactly why. It’s got my full support. They keep It live and on trend supporting the UKs finest acts and tummy satisfying food. You go Barbacoa!
